Valentine's day has passed and this year's was more sentimental than lovey-dovey. Joren & I spent hours sitting side-by-side on a bench outside our school building - it's the longest we've been together in a while (school has been eating up most of our time). Plus the combination of Quiapo day, Valentine's day, payday and Friday made for terrible traffic and we weren't about to launch ourselves into a two-hour car ride after a whole day at school. By deciding on a Post-Valentine's date, we managed to save time, patience and gas money.
The title of this post is based on the movie with the same name, which I watched after our date last night. I was expecting a happy ending throughout the movie despite all the signs that it wasn't gonna end up that way. In the end, I was left with the hope that Dean and Cindy would work it out. If not for themselves, for their children. Oh, and the way Dean accepted Cindy's pregnancy and raised Frankie as his own was remarkable.
